Andrew Golf Design:

Restoration

St. George’s G&CC, Toronto

Renowned for his design work on some of the best classic designs in the game, Ian is sought after throughout North America for his expertise in restoring some of golf’s most hallowed venues.

Over his career, courses like St. George’s (Toronto, Canada; Top 100 in the world), Highlands Links (Cape Breton, Top 100 in Canada), and many others have turned to Ian to help recapture lost historical features. Ian has also worked with the PGA Tour in preparing courses like St. George’s and Oakdale Golf and Country Club for the RBC Canadian Open.

The past decade has seen his success expand into the U.S., where he’s highly regarded for his work at Glen Falls (which entered the Top 100), Rhode Island Country Club, Pepper Pike in Cleveland, and Midvale, the first design by Robert Trent Jones.

Dozens of courses utilize Ian for their most important asset—their historic golf course.
Why? Because his experience, thorough research skills, ability to interact with boards, committees and superintendents has few rivals in the industry. But most importantly they turn to Ian because he returns their courses to past glories—time and again.

Highlands Links, Cape Breton

“Andrew’s voice of reason is a perfect match with the club’s reticence to preserve what is already very good. If only more Golden Age courses had such good stewards!”

–Ran Morrisett, Architecture Editor, Golf Magazine
